KillNancy LIVE at Piere's March 16-17
After a huge year that saw 30 shows played all over Northeast and Central Indiana and a nomination in Whatzup Magazine as Best New Performer of 2011, The band is extremely excited to announce that it will be hosting the St. Patrick’s Day party at Piere’sEntertainmentCenterinFort Wayne,IN,March 16-17, 2012.
“It has been a whirlwind year for us,” said Michael Archbold, guitarist for KillNancy. “After a turbulent start that led to the addition of (Konvict Music Artist and vocalist) Jason Miller, we couldn’t be more pleased then where we are right now.”
“Piere’s is the standard in terms of clubs in all of theMidwest. We are very honored and humbled to be asked to not only play, but also host one of their biggest parties of the year,” added drummer John “Bon” Tingley.
The band will be hosting festivities all weekend starting Friday, March 16 and ending the wee hours of the morning on Sunday the 18th. Doors open at9 PM each night. The band will take the stage at9:30 PM sharp.
“I’m doubly excited,” said guitarist Greg “The Hammer” Titzer. “Not only will I jamming on the million dollar stage for all our friends and family, but I get to celebrate my birthday on Friday night. It will be epic!”
No stranger to Piere’s main stage from his days in the Piere’s house band, FYI, back in the early 2000’s, vocalist Jason Miller adds, “I knew from day one what his band was capable of and it doesn’t end here. This is just the beginning! This is an extremely talented group of guys. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill band. There is something special here and we are just happy to be able to share our love of music with other people.”
Not losing their stride, 2012 is shaping up to be another huge year for the band. Bassist Scott Jackson explains, “We have some big things in the works for the new year. For one, we have heard the requests of the fans and plan to play more shows inFort Waynethis year. We had been sticking mainly to more regional venues, but our hometown fans want attention too!”
In addition to new clubs including Traxside in Garrett and Dupont Bar & Grill inFort Wayne, the band indicates other venues like festivals and clubs in the college circuit are in the works. “Nothing is off the table this year. It is going to be the year ofNancy!” proclaims Archbold. “Clubs interested in booking the band really do need to contact us right away. Dates are filling up FAST.”
